Carrie Lacy Stokes (Co-Founder)
Carrie Lacy Stokes is a native of the great state of TEXAS. She has been a Houstonian for over 50 years. Carrie is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University and went on to receive a Master's Degree from Texas Southern University. She also obtained a principal certification from the University of St. Thomas.
Currently an education consultant, Carrie stays active in the community as a member of P.E.A.R. (Texas Retired Teachers Association), JFLW-SMILE Community Relations Chair, Texas Conference Lay Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
As a member of the CLEAR LAKE A.M.E., her purpose for working with the scholarship fund is, "to help provide financial assistance through social activities to students who desire to achieve their dreams no matter what odds face them."
Margaret Waters
Margaret Waters, RN. BSN, ACM grew up with a loving family in the Bahamas. Now happily married to Willie Waters, she has 3 wonderful sons, Bryan, Byron and Barak.
Margaret obtained a BS degree in Agriculture, Animal Science from Prairie View A&M and went on to work as an Office with the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries & Local Governments in the Bahamas.
She furthered her education at Texas Woman's University obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She went on to have had a rewarding career in Oncology Nursing as a Certified Nurse Case Manager and received many awards.

Lavinia Drummond
Native of Accomac, Virginia, Lavinia has been a Houstonian for 35 years. She graduated from University of Houston-Clear Lake and retired in 2013 from State Farm Insurance Companies.
Lavinia is active in community involvement at Clear Lake African Methodist Episcopal, her local church. Lavinia says her purpose for working with the scholarship fund is she,
"...believes Education is the main gateway or the key to opening doors to our children's future. The Scholarship Fund is an avenue that will help ensure no child will be left behind because they lack funds to help them reach their goal(s) in reaching for the sky through education."
E. Faye York, PMP
E. (EDNA) “Faye” York was born on Wednesday, November 6, 1963 in Houston, Texas to Adolphus and Edna “Mae” York. She is a product of Houston Independent School District, where she attended Doris Miller Elementary, George Washington Jr. High and Booker T. Washington High School for Engineering Professions (HSEP). In 1988, Faye graduated from Prairie View A & M University with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. She recently completed 21+ years of service on the United States Space Shuttle Program as an employee of United Space Alliance. Faye also worked for one year as an Interface Coordinated for INTECSEA Worley Parsons Group. She is a certified Project Management Professional and trained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Faye is currently between jobs
Faye has been a life long member of Brown Chapel AME Church where she has served in many capacities. As a child, she regularly attended Sunday School serving as the Intermediate Superintendent, sang in the choir, ushered, and participated in the Young People’s Division (YPD) of the Mary Brown Women’s Missionary Society (WMS). As an adult, Faye has endeavored to stir up the gifts that God has deposited in her by serving in various leadership capacities at Brown as well as in the Texas Annual Conference. Some of the leadership positions held are as follows:

Celeste Washington
Celeste is a native of Wharton, Texas but has been a houstonian for over 70 years.
She has a Bachelors of Arts in History
Occupation and is a Retired Educator for Houston Independent School District.
She has been involved with Church Women United, Houston Business and Professional Women.
Celeste attends Payne Chapel AME Church. Her purpose for working with Scholarship Fund is that supporting young people has always been her passion. She worked for many years with the Young People Division of the Women’s Missionary Society of the AME Church. She is also committed to this project because of her late friend Rev. Jonetta Lacy Washington and wants to support causes that she supported.
